Simple idea for decorating a church with flowers
If you want lots of flowers in the church, but lack this skills to achieve formal flowers arrangements why not try the rustic look? Buy some big baskets (Ikea or similar) that will hold bucket without it showing, then simply fill the bucket with loads of daisy type flowers, artistically flowing over the edge, with a few strands of ivy hanging down . You could add a big bow of gauzy ribbon or raffia round the basket to make it look a little more festive. Place these on the chancel steps or wherever they will show the most. To decorate the pew ends take small bunches of the same flowers and tie them together with big bows of the same ribbon then hang around the pew end with a loop of florists wire. Remember that flowers out of water do not last long, so this would need to be done only a couple of hours before the ceremony. Small bridesmaids could carry little baskets in the same style.
